Volume 6 of Olympians, Aphrodite: Goddess of Love dropped yesterday on the last day of 2013 and I'm blushing at all the great emails I've received from people who already read it.
One of my new years resolutions is to be more attentive about updating this blog, and to that effect, I'm sharing here this early alternate design for the cover of Aphrodite. I'm sure you will all agree with me when I say I'm happy I didn't go this route ;)
Oh, is this the same design that was used as the tentative cover seen on the back of the Poseidon book?
ReplyDelete(I liked the use of pink and teal for that cover, though Aphrodite seems more frivolous here compared to the final cover, where she seems more self-assured. I think in one of your interviews, you mentioned that you were saving red for the Ares book.)
This is an earlier design than the one on the back cover of Poseidon-- I have a post going up about that one shortly on the First Second blog. I'll post a link once it goes live.
