As I do from time to time, I share appropriate warm up sketches I draw with my friends here on the Olympians Rule blog. Today our topic was "twins", so I drew everyone's favorite twin deities, Apollo and Artemis, vs. the old cartoon superheroes the Wonder Twins.
Apollo and Artemis won.
Mmm... I like Artemis, but Apollon looks like he only has half a chin...
ReplyDeleteI really do take these things seriously.
Shun.
You.
Profiles(?).
I like Artemis, but that's just in general, she's my favorite. I do like how you depicted her, she kind of looks like me.
ReplyDeleteWhen will Apollo: Sun God or Artemis: Goddess of the Wild Hunt come out and what numbers are they cuz I have a list of the order of olympians, reply to see the list or not, but please Mr. O'Connor reply all of my comments :(
ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous, if all goes according to plan, Apollo will be book # 8 (after Ares) and Artemis will be book #9. I like the subtitles you came up with! I doubt I'll use Sun God for Apollo's book, as his association with the sun is more of a late antiquity thing and I'm going for an earlier period of mythology for most of my stories (Helios is my sun god-- but Apollo is his boss;). I'll be playing up his role in the arts more than his sun affiliation. But I really like that Artemis subtitle...
DeleteMr. O'Connor,
ReplyDeleteI have read most of your Olympians books and I must say, I love your persective. As a fan of the Greek Myths your portayle is pretty cool.
I'm curious if you will feature Orion in the Artemis book.
Yeah, that's the plan currently for sure. Sometimes I have to trim something to make the story flow a bit better, but I'd be surprised if Orion doesn't make the cut.
DeleteMr. oconnor I really like your books, I know every one of the greek superheroes by heart. but i'm just saying, I draw a little bit better
ReplyDeleteYou draw a little bit better? Than what? Me? Send me something mythological, I'll post it with full credit to you .
