Hades on the NYTimes bestseller list!

Long time, no post, but this I had to share: the latest volume in Olympians, Hades: Lord of the Dead, just appeared on the NYtimes bestseller list! Wahoo!

A big thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. Give a click here to see the list, and to read a brief Q&A with yours truly about it.

  1. Congratulations! I've only just stumbled upon this series of graphic novels in the last couple weeks and, though we haven't actually read Hades yet, me and my kids have been thoroughly enjoying the others! We are really looking forward to reading Hades (and the rest of the series!)

  3. Athena, Zeus, Hera and Hades are our favourite comics -- we enjoy reading them over and over again. They're as good as Tintin...or better. Can't wait to see Poseidon and Aphrodite!

  6. lessee, questions and answers...

Emma and Lauren-- thank you both so much! To be compared to the great Tintin is very nice indeed!

Anonymous-- thanks! Look for the next volume, Poseidon, in about 6 to eight months. After that, Aphrodite!

Tim-- I'm a fan, though I've only read the first book (The Lightning Thief) so far-- I don't want to subconsciously copy anything from him. But as for what Mr Riordan has done for Greek Mythology in general, I'm extremely grateful.

  7. Congrads on making the NY times bestseller list! I snatched up "Hades" right away and loved your dark creative twist on the story. These will definitely be recommended to my friends. Thank you for bringing mythology back to us in a fresh fun light.

  9. I teach 5th grade and our students love mythology. This summer my boys and I have read all your releases--Zeus, Athena, Hera, and today we finished Hades. They are incredible! I leave them on the coffee table because guests, young and old alike, pick them up and can't stop. I love your Olympian scene. Have you ever considered a poster version?
PS- the boys want you to know that Hades is their favorite and they can't wait for Poseidon.
